If you have never led before, or it's been a while since you have, this class is for you! In our lead climbing class you will learn all the fundamentals of lead climbing and belaying for indoor sport climbing. Belay techniques covered include: feeding rope while climbing, feeding rope while clipping, rope management, stick clipping, dynamic belay techniques with a Petzl Gri Gri device. The lead climbing portion covers topics such as: risk management, proper movement around the rope while climbing, clipping technique. Pre-Requisites: Must be Top Rope Belay Certified and capable of climbing a 5.9+ consistently.

Session 1: January 6^th to February 10^th, make-up class February 17^th

Session 2: February 24^th to March 31^st, make-up class April 7^th

Session 3: April 14^th to May 26^th (no class April 21^st), make-up class June 2^nd

Session 4: June 9^th to July 14^th, make-up class July 21^st

Session 5: July 28^th to September 1^st, make-up class September 8^th

Session 6: September 15^th to October 20^th, make-up class October 27^th

Session 7: November 3^rd to December 8^th, make-up class December 15^th

This entry level class is great for all levels of climbers without belaying experience. Includes all necessary equipment and will cover:

• Climbing Safety & Verbal Commands
• Rope and Harness Safety
• Overview of Belay Devices including Gri Gri's and ATC's
• Knot Tying & Belaying

Join us on the mat for our weekly Yoga Class. This class is suitable for all experience levels.

The cost is $10 for a drop-in, FREE with the purchase of a full price Day Pass and FREE for all active members!
