Thank you to everyone for being patient with us as we navigate our path to reopening! You will find below the changes and guidelines that we would like to make you aware of before coming to the facility.
To start, please visit the "Covid-19" page link in the main header for some new overall Gravity Vault policies.
Here in Chatham, please remember that if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, we request that you do not enter our facility until 72 hours have passed since you last experienced symptoms. A list of COVID-19 symptoms can be found here:
If you have not climbed at a Gravity Vault before, please remember to fill out a waiver and make a reservation prior to your arrival. We will not have physical copies onsite.
MASKS REQUIRED for anyone in the building, per government mandate and company policy.
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED - We are currently accepting reservations through the Vertical Life app or the link below for self-supervised climbing access only (Members, 10-Visit Pass holders, Day Passes*) . *Day Passes are for facility access only, may not be appropriate for those with minimal to no experience, does not include staff instruction, or rentals- Please call if you are unsure of what options are best for you prior to using the online reservation system.
If you (or your child) are new to climbing, or have not climbed with us prior, please call or email our front desk to discuss climbing options prior to making any reservation through the Vertical Life app or below.
Staff-led programs are currently offered on a limited basis. Please call or email if you are new to climbing, need the assistance of staff, or are unsure of what options are best for you.

SIGNS will be posted at our entrances and our front desks to display current policies (which could change over time).
SOCIAL DISTANCING on the climbing floor means keeping 1 rope station empty between climbing parties and 1 person in each bouldering section. Climbers are expected to maintain good social distancing and in general remain 6 feet apart at all times. Exceptions are made for those climbing with others from their household.
CLEANING PROCEDURES have been updated to reflect the COVID-19 pandemic and include additional rounds throughout the day.
HAND SANITZERS will be placed throughout the gym. Folks are asked to hand sanitize upon entry to the gym, before starting a climb and after finishing one.
LIQUID CHALK is currently allowed and is highly encouraged. The gym will have liquid chalk for purchase in retail.
We understand there will be members of the community who feel these precautions are too restrictive. We also understand that there will be others who feel these precautions don't go far enough. As climbers we must always err on the side of safety, while understanding that risk can never be eliminated from the sport we love. We are doing our best to keep our community safe and healthy.

As excited as we are to get every person in the community climbing, we need to phase in our different program offerings. Due to capacity restrictions we are asking all climbers to make a reservation through the reservation system 'Vertical Life'. Each reservation is good for a 2 hour time slot, if more time is needed please contact the front desk towards the end of your time slot.
New to climbing? We are excited to be offering staff led climbing sessions again, call us for more info!
Climbing Team members can reserve time just like other members.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH MY MEMBERSHIP OR PUNCH PASS?
- All subscriptions became active on 7/2.
- Paid in full subscribers automatically get an extension equal to the number of days we were closed.
- Normal billing was resumed on August 1.
