Shift Leader
Job Category: Gym Staff
Job Description:
As a Shift Leader at The Gravity Vault you will oversee the smooth operation of the front desk, ensure that safety standards are being met out on the climbing floor, and provide guidance to instructors. This includes taking care of customer issues or complaints, assisting staff in closing/cleaning the gym in a timely manner, and keeping staff on task during our evening hours. The Shift Leader is also responsible for completing key “behind the scenes” tasks to assist the rest of the management team in their daily operations. This is a part time position requiring 20 – 30 hours of work depending upon the applicant’s availability.
Job Responsibilities Include:
-Oversee the facility operation and flow of activities
-Manage instructors
-Provide top notch customer service
-Take bookings and final payments for events and large groups
-Create promotional materials as needed
-Prior experience in a retail or fitness environment
-Strong customer service skills
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Strong leadership skills
-Weekday afternoon/evening availability as well as Saturday availability
